At Advanced Additive, we are a dynamic team of visionary founders from Rosenheim, Germany:
Florian Aigner (M.Sc.) and Julia Paternoster (B.A.). Together, we bring diverse specialties in additive manufacturing, software development, marketing, communications and sales.
Florian Aigner | Founder & CEO
Florian Aigner, the CEO of Advanced Additive and an expert in additive manufacturing, takes on the role of project leader. Florian’s passion for innovation and profound knowledge in additive manufacturing are vital to our vision. He is driven by problem solving and is willing to adapt to every challenge that crosses his way on the solving journey.

Julia Paternoster | CO-Founder & CMO
Julia Paternoster, with her experience in communication and marketing, acquired during previous projects and her Bachelor’s degree in interior design, is responsible for these specific areas within the Advanced Additive team. With her creative vision and eye for design, she seamlessly combines aesthetics and functionality.

Our History – from the beginning to now!
During his Master’s studies in Applied Research and Development in Engineering Sciences at Technical University of Rosenheim, Florian Aigner conducted research on an experimental additive manufacturing machine using the FLM process for ceramic components for the material science lab. This work identified issues with the path generation software for FLM-based parts. He further delved into this subject during his Master’s thesis, exploring and enhancing the path generation for FLM processes. Subsequently, his efforts focused on improving the filling, successfully modifying a slicer to generate negligible errors and fluctuations in the filling process. Component tests demonstrated that this optimization resulted in improved component properties and reduced variations.
The project initially received funding from the Center for Research, Development, and Transfer at TH Rosenheim. This was followed by partnerships with leading companies and support from the ROCkET start-up center. Since May 2023, we have been supported by the EXIST start-up grant, and since May 2024 by the FLÜGGE program. Officially founded since march 2025.
